Can you ride a bicycle?

Can you ride a bike? I've been riding bikes as long as I can remember. DC will both learn (DS currently has a bike with training wheels).

"Fairly often" is up to interpretation. I'm still recovering from my elbow surgery, so I haven't ridden outside of my driveway in almost 2 years, but I still consider myself to be an avid bike rider.

Re: Can you ride a bicycle?

Yep! My husband and I ride regularly during the year except winter. We like to take the bike path and see how far I can make it. We can usually do around 8 miles going 11 mph - 13 mph. I slow him down though as he can go a lot further than me.

I used to ride all the time, then I got my driver's license and a car, which more or less ended my healthy form of transportation.

I answered befor eI read your poast, so I chose : not ina logn time", but I'm soemwher ein between. I dont'have a bike right now, but I am looking to get one.

As a teen I used to ride all the time, but then I moved to the Bronx and stopped.
I started a few years ago on a ancient bike that belonged to my MIL, but I hated it, b/c of the bike.

I just discvored my co-op has bike storage, so I want to get a new bike this spring.

Re: Can you ride a bicycle?

Yes I can but....
I have only been on one once while on vacation in the Poconos since I lost my right peripheral vision seven years ago when I had a stroke. I liked riding but I don't like the feeling of not seeingto one side. Chat Icon

Re: Can you ride a bicycle?

It took me many YEARS to ride a bike and when I figured it out, I was really nervous and didn't do it that much with friends. I fell off a few times and crashed into my mom's carChat Icon

I ride horses, though.

Re: Can you ride a bicycle?

I can ride, but now the only bikes I use are stationary spinning bikes! Chat Icon Maybe when we have kids DH and I will get bikes and we can all go riding.

Re: Can you ride a bicycle?

DH and I both ride our bikes just about everyday in the warmer months. We are very lucky and live right near the east river which has a great bike path.

Re: Can you ride a bicycle?

I used to ride a LOT - like every other day and I used to do two or three century's a year (100 mile ride).
I haven't ridden in a couple years, but just signed up to do the 50 mile BikeBoatBike for incentive.
