Can we please stop with all the pass the buck crap!
A woman I work with is always trying to avoid doing her job.  I ask her to do things that are clearly her responsibility and she always says they are not and that I should do it or get someone else to handle it. She does this with my coworkers too and we had a long meeting yesterday with the last 30 minutes being all about how much we all loathe dealing with her and her attitude.
Well, it happened again but this time her boss chimed in via e-mail to her with a copy to me saying that she should take care of this for me rather than the person I contacted - a person I contacted at her direction since she did not want to do her job.
I got in a good jab at her too and responded to the e-mail noting that this issue had come full circle.
If you scroll to the bottom of the e-mail chain, which I'm sure her boss did do, I asked the lazy witch to do this days ago.

I hate when people do this! Good thing it worked out for you l I also despise when co-workers pass the buck when it comes to decision-making so in case it doesn't work out, it doesn't come back to them!!!

We also discussed the indecision in the department and can't someone just make the darn call on an issue and be done with it!!

That happens here all the time. I start out nice and when they push back I just reconfirm via email and copy everyone that needs to know the situation. I am so tired of people not doing their job.

I know how you feel! One of the partners at my old firm would NOT make a decision on anything because he was constantly looking for someone else to blame. Whenever we were advising a client or sending something to a client (even just a memo on a simple research issue), he would make ME (not him) run it by multiple partners, including the head of our group before we sent it so that way, if there was a mistake, he would say "well, Partner A said it was ok!" The partners always looked at me with 10 heads and said - why doesn't the original partner just make the call!

And I bet his draw is much bigger than theirs but they are making all the decisions.

Wow! I had another issue of pass the buck at work and it just got nasty between two paralegals - via e-mail. They sit in another state - but together.
The one who is NOT responsible for this said to the other " just BRING ME THE FILE!!!!"
This issue has been on-going for about 2 weeks with different people saying that other departments need to handle it
