cape
cape's usually have a bedroom (or two) downstairs and two beds upstars (the bedrooms upstairs usually have the slanted ceilings) most of them have been extended anyway-

Thanks Meaghan!! I guess that's what we have, a colonial. All the living spaces are downstairs, bedrooms and laundry upstairs. And the garage is off to the site like that too. Although, it's a mix of that and the "Georgian" from the link below.

Thank you for finally "telling" me what style house I have. It's definitely a colonial (also called a traditional colonial).
It's pretty much, exactly, like this house (minus balcony)...
This site has a few plans also...

I have a farm ranch also called an expanded ranch(it is a ranch bottom with a cape top) so I guess according to these definitions its a cape?) But it is much longer than a cape if that makes sense
