Can I wear bug spray?

Sorry if this sounds like a dumb question. We are going to Maine this week & I hear it can get buggy. Is it safe to wear bug spray?

Re: Can I wear bug spray?

I did the other night! It was so buggy in the city and I just couldn't take it any more. They love to bite pregnant woman! (We have double the blood volume) I read the back of the different cans and there were no warnings.

Re: Can I wear bug spray?

i think we are allowed to use it as long as there is no DEET on the label.

Re: Can I wear bug spray?

i used bug spray with DEET once during this pregnancy. it was just a week or two ago and i was getting massacred by the mosquitos and was desparate. i wouldn't use it for days on end, though, and i would definitely get one without DEET.

I haven't had to use it but I did find one of the OFF Family Care sprays that has no DEET and is supposed to not leave you feeling like you have bug spray on. I am not sure exactly which one it is but you can google it.

I use California Baby Bug Spray on my babies and me. It's all natural.

Re: Can I wear bug spray?

When I went to Cape May @ the end of May I called the high risk Dr and he recommended Avon Skin so Soft with Picaridin.

He told me that this was the only one I was allowed to use. It works well actually.
