can I return something to target without a receipt?

I bought a TON of stuff today ad the cashier was kind of lazy. I asked her for big bags, she said she didn't have them. I reached over to the cashier next to her and got them and started putting the smaller bags in the bigger ones. I paid by AMEX and left. When I got home, some of the items were damaged and I can't find the receipt ANYWHERE!

Can I still make the return?

I'm pretty sure since you paid with a credit card you can return your items. Call the store just to make sure.

I made a return without a receipt last week. They didn't give me a problem at all. They gave me the lowest sale price and actually gave me the money in cash. I was shocked that it was that easy.

yup - as long as you bring your amex with you, they can look it up - its very easy...

I returned something today without the reciet. I knew I used my debit card and they gave me cash back after they looked it up.

They are SO strict there! You can only return/exchange once a YEAR without a receipt! Even the same exact shirt for another size with the tags still on. And they ask for your license. One time I had to go home, and get DH's license and exchange something for a different size. So annoying! Yet, I still live there.

Yes, you just have to give them the card that you paid with and they can pull it up and put the credit back on your card.

You can return them with no problem. If you paid with a credit or debit card they can look up your purchase in their system and credit your card back. Even if you didn't have a receipt most times they will still refund you. They are suppose to limit you to something like 2 returns per year with no receipt but I've always had nice people who didn't seem to care about that rule and they refund me every time.

Yes just give them your CC. I do it all the time. I never have a receipt.

If you pay with a credit card, they can look up your purchases with the card.

they should be able to look it up on your card. If not I recently lost a receipt for something I had to return there and they took it back but gave me a store credit

Yep. I agree wth most of the above. I bought a present for my nephew, but realized it was wrong. But I lost the receipt somehow. Target will take the item back, look up what you paid within 90 days of purchase, and credit your credit card. Just know what card you paid with.

yup they can do a check on ur purchase from your amex card!!!

I freaking LOVE Target for this very reason! I love that they can look up your past orders with your credit card!

I was part of a gift exchange and I got something kinda lame. I saw it had the Target logo on it...and I was still able to get credit for it!
