I started using the unsweetened ones at that age. They have the same ingredients as the baby food and they are cheaper.

Definitely! I got the Stop and Shop's organic brand. It has the same ingredients as baby food (apples, water, citric acid) and it is soooo much cheaper. 2.19 for 24 oz! I'm trying to find other "adult" foods I can get for DD without actually having to make anything.
