Can i ask a REALLY dumb question??
SO i made an appt to see an RE bc from many women on here who suggested it, my MIL who suggested and even my sister who was a PA in my gyno office fro years.
Ok....my dumb question is........ why exactly am i seeing this dr? I know therye gonna ask that when i go there.
I was put on clomid by reg ob/gyn bc of my LOOOONNNGG cycles. Clomid was successful after 3 rounds. Pregnancy ended in m/c. Im 34 yrs old. No prior pregnancies.
So, what more really can he do that my reg ob/gyn cant or hasnt?
Just curious.

For one thing, an RE can run all the right tests to make sure everything is in working order. Then take it from there. Good luck!

try other injectibles and possible do an IUI if that doesn't work.
I think the testing is important. There may be a reason you miscarried and certain tests can tell.

They are experts in fertility while regular GYN are knowledgable in the subject but not experts. They do this every day.

Like everyone else said - they will run all kinds of tests and do blood work to see if your hormone levels are ok... they will do a thorough check thru on you and then take it from there to figure out the right plan for you!
When I first started seeing my RE I had no idea what to expect or what exactly I was going for but my ob/gyn released me to the RE and I knew I had to go! Good thing I listened and made the appt. I have found out so many things that I would not have know otherwise...
