My doctor said to stay away from fish all together at this point - I am not sure if it is because of allergies or the mercury.
She said this at the 9 month checkup.

We don't get this advice in the UK, we are encouraged to feed out kids a really varied diet, and fish is a part of that. We have had tuna, cod, haddock and other fish, but no shellfish since 9 months, so I don't know about allergies. But if your doctor says no...do what you think is right.

My DR said no fish at all till 1 yr old and then no shellfish till 2 yrs of age....every dr seems to advise different though.

i was told after 1 year. olivia eats crab legs, loves shrimp and tilapia.
