Can a proud mommy brag a little????
Even though I'm on maternity leave for the summer I decided to still send DD to daycare (or "camp" as they like to call it) for a few hours 3 days a week to keep her in her routine for when I return to work.
They just moved her up to the 18 month room a couple of months ago (she's 20 months) and her teacher and the director approached me today asking if I'd mind if they push her up with the 2+ year olds since she's mature for her age, had no problems communicating her needs and has starting using the potty ( )
They have been letting her play outside with the older kids here and there and say she really enjoys it. So today (with my permission) they put her in a structured event that the 2 - 4 year olds were attending and they said she did fabulous following directions and had a GREAT time. She spent the entire time dancing and shaking her booty.
She came home is such a good mood it was amazing. I'm SOOOO proud of her and happy the center recognized her abilities and didn't hold her back because of age
