cake/cupcakes for 1st bday party
We are planning to get a cake and cupcakes for DS's first bday party next weekend.
I think I'm going to do the cake half canoli and half somethign else - what would you suggest? i have no ideas... i'm not a cake fan....
for cupcakes I think i want to do yellow cake with chocolate frosting....sound good for kiddies?

OOH! Chocolate pudding! 
I'd vote against strawberry, but I'm weird like that. I don't think fruit and cake should ever go together.

I would do 1/2 canoli and 1/2 choc pudding ~ cupcakes for the kiddies sounds great! (I am thinking of doing the same thing)

I like either starwberry or raspberry filling 
For the cupcakes, you may want to consider white frosting only because of the mess with chocolate  ( but I personally prefer chocolate myself- LOL )
