Caiden's tubes... (Update)
Thank you for all your kind words and thoughts!
His surgery went well. It was REALLY quick. They did it at 8:30am and we were home by 9:30am. The doctor said his ears were filled with very thick fluid. It's usually more watery. We had to use ear drops over the weekend and he's been taking an antibiotic to prevent an infection. We go back on 6/13 to do another hearing test to see if it's better, and to check if the tubes are still open. There's a chance that until the membranes completely dry up, that the thick fluid could build up again and block the tubes. If it does then we'll have to use the drops again and if that doesn't help they will have to try and clear the tubes there in the office. We're hoping it doesn't come to that.
We had to put a gown on him before the surgery. I do have to admit he was really cute in it. It fit him length wise perfectly, and his little diaper/hiney was sticking out. He cried for a little while the anesthesia wore off. Then he took only an hour nap and was running around like normal. The nurse said he was going to sleep most of the day... YEAH RIGHT!!!  So far it doesn't seem to be bothering him. Let's just hope the tubes stay open!
