We stayed at Dreams and were very happy. It's between downtown Cabo and the old town.
Our advertising division goes there every year for a shoot and they stay at the One & Only Pamilla, but I don't have their budget They rave about it

We stayed in San Jose del Cabo at the Royal Solaris, we liked it a lot but, we pretty much stayed on the resort or did excursions. We took a bus to Cabo San Lucas 1x and then took a cab back and went another night with people we met at our resort. The cab ride was about $30.
The Riu is really nice and is very close to Cabo San Lucas. The Westin is really nice but, is a little farther out (closer to San Jose del Cabo than San Lucas).

melia san lucas It was totally redone and very "W" Hotelesque. A two minute walk from downtown cabo and an amazing pool!!!
