I like it. If there is a storm or something you MAY lose the picture a few mins. but other than that we are very happy with it.Chat Icon

Re: Cablevision vs. Direct TV or others...

My dh keeps arguing with me and tells me that Fios is probably so much better than Optimum. We have the triple play and we just downgraded to the silver package for about $130 a month, plus we have 3 hi-def boxes and a DVR.

I wonder if Fios is better??Chat Icon

I have the triple play as well and mine went up to almost 170.00 a month. It's RIDICULOUS!!! We have 1 HI DEF/DVR box and the others are just regular. I don't get it. They gave us the "introductory" price for 6 months I believe and then it went up. I hate their customer service as well!! Where I"m at they are just SO RUDE!

Call them up and ask to speak with disconnect. They will instantly send you to their "save team" where you can tell them that you'd like to cancel and switch to FIOS. My dh's friend did this and they lowered his bill because they didn't want to lost a customer.

I have Direct TV. We got it in a package with Verizon Fios phone and Internet since Fios TV is not available in our area. We love it! We have the HD DVR box in our great room which is awesome!!!

This is why I won't get DirectTV. I've witnessed others losing signal in rather mild weather and having to wait an eternity for customer service on the phone.

I did prefer the features we had with Time Warner when we were in the city, but Cablevision has been good. My only opposition to Verizon is that my husband likes the bundles and at both of the jobs I've had on LI and my IL's use/used Verizon for internet and it goes out all the time.
