C section at North Shore Manhasset- # of nights
When I delivered my DD in 2009 in Winthrop I stayed 4 nights. How many does North Shore keep you for?

I think the standard, no matter what hospital, a csection is a 4 night stay.

3 nights is the norm. I stayed a 4th with my first bc she had to stay an extra night in the NICU. This time I was out in 3 and couldn't wait to go!!

I stayed there 4 nights, ..I could have went home at after 3 but my hubby was finishing work on the house so I stayed the extra night.. I went early so wasn't expecting baby to come so soon!! They were very helpful there:) I didn't want to go home, lol

Just delivered there on 4/6
Gave birth Sunday morning at 5:15 am
We were able to go home on that wed
The nurses and staff were great
The rooms are beautiful as well

It's up to your OB, not the hospital.
Insurance covers 4 nights but many OBs will discharge you after 3 nights if you're doing well.

I stayed the maximum of 4 nights because DS had to stay under the lights and I wasn't leaving him! I think 3 is the minimum.
