BTDT moms re:health club childcare

DH and I belong to a gym. It's really nice, brand new- all amenities included, even free childcare for infants under 1 year. They have 2 separate childcare rooms- one for infants (complete with swings, bouncers, gliders to nurse before your workout, etc) and one for older kids.

From what I understand, I have to give them notice that I'll be bringing her in so they can have the "appropriate childcare technicians" in- so I'm not worried about the level of care she'll recieve for the 1 hour. I'm most worried about her getting sick.

Does anyone here bring their infants to the gym with them? Am I stupid for even considering it? I'm worried about her getting sick

I just REALLY need to get back to working out and I'm having a VERY hard time geting motivated to go later in the day when DH gets home from work- so I was thinking of going in the mornings when I have DD.

WWYD?

My sister brings her youngest DS to the gym with her all of the time. He has a great time playing and she gets to work out. I would go for it!

You should definitely use it - especially since they have a separate infant room. Just make sure to wipe down her hands and face as soon as you pick her up to go home.

I MISS my days when we would go to the Y in the morning and DD would go to day care. She loved it and so did I. She never got sick- in fact, I would just keep her in her infant seat in the stroller, she would drink a bottle, play with her toys and watch the other kids. This way she never touched anything but her own stuff.
