BTDT moms ? about cereal
My dd just turned 4m old and went to her check up on wed, peds told me we will be starting cereal next month. Question tho: my dd has now just started wanting to eat alot.. yesterday she had 24 oz of formula and ALOT of BM (not sure on exact amount b/c some was in bottle and some off breast). My sis told me yesterday that a child should not consume more than 32oz, she should have cereal b/c she is hungary. She defiantly either came really close to 32oz or went over. Should I call my peds and tell them this or should i see how today goes and then call? I dont want to be starving my dd.

Hey. We just started a little cereal last night & ds is 4.5 mos. I think the amount for the day was 40 oz but it's not terrible to go over. Try reading some of the articles on babycenter.com about feeding & signs that dc is ready for cereal

Mine was the same and I just gave him the cereal w/o calling the pedi b/c I knew I'd be starting soon anyway

My Dd was drinking the same amount and more when she was around that age. I think they go through a huge spurt around that time too.
She was drinking 36-40oz's a day. My Ped said that's fine and normal. No more than 40oz he told me We still started cereal at 6 months.

now does bm count in that figure? b/c sometimes hes takes off breast and cant reall calcuate how much.
