Breast implants...and recommended Surgeons (UPDATE WITH PICS)
Does anyone know the difference between silicon and saline implants? Or Any good websites that have info on them....
I am going with my friend to Dr. Greenberg tomorrow for her consultation and I am doing some research for her......And figured I would ask you ladies...

Okay so I went with her last night for her consultaion with Dr. Greenberg...seemed to go well..... but I really think she needs to go to get more opinions....
i have done some research and have come up with a few more Drs names....
So far i have:
Dr Freund in NYC
Dr. Romanelli in Huntington
Dr. Peter Neumann in Great Neck
Any other recommendations??

When I needed my breast reduction, Dr. Greenberg creeped me out.
I used Dr. Ian Bourhill in Huntington - he's AWESOME- and implants are his specialty.

Try South Shore Cosmetic Surgeons, they are in RVC and have another office somewhere on the island. They have seminars too. I know they have a website too.
Ask for Dr. Hassan, although all the surgeons there are very good. I'll be ringing him again soon, maybe.

Oh Dr. Romanelli is great... FH's Aunt got her boobs done by him and they look great. She has had them now for YEARS and has never had a problem. I have also heard of Dr. Greenberg but don't know anyone personally who has used him...

saline is salt water will feel a bit harder than silicone, but is said to be safer in case of leaks, etc. I think you can get silicone again now but for the past several yrs you could only get silicone if you were having a reconstruction or something similar done. If its purely cosmetic, I believe, saline was your only option.

Dr. Nolan Karp is supposedly the best in NYC for reductions and implants. He's with NYU Med Ctr.

bumping from a search. i went and dr. greenberg also creeped me out. He had a girl there who was his model with big implants. she was telling my friend to go with saline and saying how nice they were.
Then a few days later a marketing woman called to see if she was going to have the procedure done.
It was wierd to me.

My mom went to Drs Elizedeh & DiGregorio in Garden City. She has saline on her left side (she only had one removed & reconstructed), and it does not feel that much different to her. It is not hard at all & they did a great job, she has hardly any scars.

i see that. i agree.
my friend went to him and she likes him. I think she needs to see another Dr. or two for a second opinion. She wants to go to him because 2 of her husbands friend's wives have went, and she is a follower.
Anyway I meant silicone. The girl was pushing silicone (because they are more money).
She also said when you get the silicone, you will need an MRI every year & a half to make sure they didn't rupture 
ETA: it is her body and not mine but she was rushed in and out of his office (he gave her a 10 minute consultation because his office was packed.

really- there is no way my husband is going to let me get the silicone ones- esp. with that tibit of info and I really don't love the look on the saline
so maybe I will just the lipo on the tops of my legs - that is my main soucre of unhappiness!

I don't need them- I kind of want them
but I work in a very conserative industry- so it might not be such a good idea
by I am def getting lipo- after we buy a house- I hate the tops of my thighs like most women
