Omg I’m losing my mind listening to both sides claiming that the other is brainwashed.
Like, seriously brainwashed. People on both sides literally think the other side is legitimately brainwashed.
Can’t we just have different opinions?
70+ million on each side can’t possible be brainwashed.
I just can’t even listen to the back and forth. I’m right your wrong and there is no middle ground anymore.

While I agree both sides are ridiculous. They are legit trump fanatics that definitely need help.
These are people that are obsessed and really can’t see anything else and just blindly believes everything he says. You have to know the group I am referring to the deep crazy obsession of him. If there are Biden fans that are like that or turns out to be like that I will see they need help also!!

I think the term brainwashing is referring to people that are fully on board with all this Qanon conspiracy nonsense. Like the people that whole-heartedly believe JFK Jr. is going to rise from the dead and be the Robin to Trump's Batman. That kind of insane stuff. Like please leave JFK Jr. to RIP. He's been dead 20 years and died such a young tragic death. Think of how his family must feel every time they hear people say he will resurrect from the dead. It's terrible.
And now there are people that are saying that Trump is now Biden and when you see Biden's inauguration tomorrow it's actually Trump being sworn in and he's had some type of surgical intervention to take on Biden's persona.
And that the Trump you see is actually fake. The deep state had him killed and replaced with some kind of drone.
That there are lizard people among us. Have you heard of this stuff? It's making the rounds with these folks. What would you say about this stuff if someone you knew was talking like this and fully believing all this was real?
It's hard to tell what's even sarcasm anymore with some of these theories that are making the rounds.

I don’t think it’s so much Biden as it is Anti-Trump fanatics. These people tend to sound just as bad as Trump fanatics. They are so far left, all Democrats are right, all Republicans are bad etc. Don’t associate with anyone who voted for him or speak with family/friends over it. To me thats equally bizarre.

I mean, these are not normal times. Don’t forget that hundreds sieged the Capitol and killed a cop and threatened our officials. All because Trump invited them to “be there, will be wild!”
All of those people have been brainwashed to act erratic for a man who doesn’t know their names. It’s cult behavior.
I think of Charles Manson. He didn’t kill anyone himself. But he was still guilty for inciting murder and violence.

January 6th is all the proof that you need to show that yes, there are MANY Trump supporters who have been brainwashed. They have been led down a rabbit hole of lies, deception, untruths and conspiracies. When one man's lunacy can lead thousands in a insurrection than hell yes, there is brainwashing. Not a difference of opinion, not a difference in politics but brainwashing. There is NO other way to describe some of his base and yes, they do need help to find their way back to reality and truth. Don't kid yourself into thinking that this isn't true, Trump created a cult. Of course, not every Trump supporter is a crazy, brainwashed lunatic BUT hundreds of thousands are. Again, January 6th. That was sheer brainwashed, cult mentality. Period.

I agree, we shouldn’t move on from what happened at the Capitol. I’m very disappointed in the foundation of our government that we had to live with this madman as our president for 14 days because that was the “safest” option. I’m still scratching my head over that.

It will take YEARS for this country to "move on" and repair the damage Trump has caused. If only it were as easy as, "you won, move on". We will be dealing with the after effects of this administration for a very long time.
Trump will DESERVEDLY be attacked, criticized and raked over the coals until his dying breath and then history will continue to tell the tale of his abysmal, corrupt presidency.
So no, moving on isn't in this country's future unfortunately. That will take time, a switch won't flip tomorrow at noon.

I do think the people who are so obsessed with Trump as a person are brainwashed. If you can’t see any flaw in his rhetoric, behaviors, or lies then yes, I believe you are either 1) stupid or 2) brainwashed. He hasn’t even made any progress towards traditional Republican views - other than packing the courts.
If you are a Republican and are able to distinguish between Trump and actual political platforms or policies then I wouldn’t cal you a Trumper.
If you would allow Trump to incite violence on our capitol (or 5th Ave) and look the other way/still champion him then yes, you are brainwashed.
You can call me brainwashed for wanting people to have equal rights, basic healthcare and an education. I just believe in the value of human life.
