Book Recommendation? Young girls (age 5) and sexuality?
My daughter is 5 and is very curious and flat out asks those hard to answer questions about how babies are born, etc. We've had many a talk about what is appropriate touching, etc...private parts are private, etc etc.
I'm looking for a children;s book that we can read that will reinforce all of these topics. I just want to make sure we have an open dialogue now so that when the teenage years come we've laid a strong groundwork for appropriate behaviour.
Any suggestions?

I don't know any books but my friend used Animal Planet as a springboard for it. Plenty of mating going on there & you can explain it in terms of mammals.

My friend recommended this one...The Care and Keeping of You. Its really great for info on a girls body and puberty, but I'm not sure its what you are looking for. Its a good try though!

I am not sure about for a child that young, but " The What's Happening to My Body Book for Girls" is the book that I read as a girl.
