I know Knox used to have a boarding school. I don't know too much about it though.

I don't know exactly what it is. But I think the Lake Grove School has dorms.

That's what I thought too but DH's cousins went to school there, in the 50-60's and my MIL Chat Icon insists that it is just a boarding school. I said maybe then but I don't think so now.

Friends Academy does not have dorms (at least they didn't have any when I went there I grad there in 93). I don't believe portledge does either.

I thought Lake Grove School was a school for the deaf and hearing impaired. The one on Moriches Rd., right?

That is what I've always though.

Has anyone ever even seen children around there? I don't think I ever had and I used to live somewhat close and drove by often.

it is a boarding school for emotionally disturbed teens, they do have a program for ED teens that are deaf though. It is one of the few schools that has such a program so they do have signs out front advertising it.
