Blurry vision...

I have always had perfect 20/20 vision.
When I drive at night lately, everything seems blurry...like I have to rub my eyes to get them to focus. I sit forward while I'm driving~like an old woman.
Where do you recommend I go to get my eyes checked...a Pearl Vision type place or to an opthamologist?Chat Icon

Re: Blurry vision...

An Ophthalmologist (they are MD's). The people at Pearl Vision are optometrists (They are not MD's).

I have always gone ot Lenscrafters, they are MD's, they do a great kob , it is covered by my ins and you ahve your glasses quickly. Wait until you get the glasses, you will be amazed at what tyoe of vision you were ealing with and how much clearer everything will loojChat Icon

Re: Blurry vision...

I would go to an opthamologist, since you don't already wear glasses, just to make sure it isn't something else. I don't think most vision places like Pearl have MDs, they have optomotrists.

The other reason I now prefer the opthamologist is that I only have to pay my $15 co-pay for the exam and my insurance covers the rest.

Re: Blurry vision...

I see Dr. Luchs at South Shore Eye Care in Wantagh. They have a few docs there.

I also have no vision problems but lately a case of dry eye and an eye lid injury got me there.

It was a referral from my doctor.

I would go to an Opthamologist not an Optomotrist.
