BF moms- how can I increase my supply?
I'm just getting over a cold and DD is just getting over the bend of a cough - and I think between the 2 of us my supply has diminished somewhat. I haven't been eating/drinking like I should b/c I felt like crap, and she hasn't either.. What are some good suggestions to increase my supply to get me back to where I was?
I pump 2x at work, and can't do so any more because we use a shared pump and the schedule to use it is pretty tight (a bit of a baby boom!). I know there is some kind of tea you can get or something.. Where do you get it?
any help is appreciated - my freezer stash is rapidly dwindling for DD's daycare :)

Drink water!
I pump in the morning before DD eats. I never run out of milk for her when I feed her after pumping, and I always get my best supply first thing in the morning.
ETA: Now I am able to stop pumping at work a month earlier because i have SO MUCH milk in my fridge. I always give her babysitter 1 full bottle from the morning and then 1 full bottle from my 2 sessions of pumping at work. That way she rarely has to dip into the freezer stash. Plus my Friday pump and my Sat. morning pump goes right into the freezer.

Ugh - I hear what you are saying about the morning milk supply - but what a bummer. I know you are so right, but I will have to get myself motivated in the mornings!! DD still wakes us up (although she has been better) at least once in the night, and me likey my sleepy time, esp now that i've been sick!!!
But I will try it out - thanks a bunch!

Like Shelly said, your best supply is in the AM so try to pump then. Also make sure you're drinking LOTS of water, eating enough calories and for me, oatmeal helped. I had a packet of oatmeal everyday while I was Bfing/pumping

There is a tea called Mothers Milk if you want to try that.
