Beta didn't double..can someone offer me some hope here?
It was 55.1 on Monday (very late morning draw) and only 80 from yesterday (early morning draw). Progesterone went up from 24 to 30.
Other factor is that 2 different labs were used. I'll be getting a 3rd beta tomorrow (using same lab as from Monday).
Anyone have a success story with numbers like this?
Dr. B says he's still confidant...I'm just anxious...

I think it is suposed to double every 48-72 hrs so that seems good to me!!!!!
ETA: I just reread so you had a beta Monday and Thursday?
different labs would make me wonder too.

i have no advice, just tons of  
as long as its still rising thats gotta be a good sign, esp. if dr. B isn't too concerned! when mine didnt double (it crept up only a few points though from 42 to 46 in 2 days), he pretty much let me know that it prob wasnt going to be viable. so if hes still OK with your numbers i think that in itself is a great sign!

I would wait for the next beta, it went up and that is good news. I think its supposed to go up 60%, which is exactly what you have. And I think you went Monday then Wednesday, right? I've seen this many times. Keep positive.

Yes Linda said they like it to double but 60 percent is fine!!! Stay strong, this is your time I know it

I had a beta that only went up 51% between the first two draws. DD is 20 months old.... Keep positive!

You have 2 huge variables here--time of beta and different labs. Considering that, you shouldn't be worried. But of course anything involving betas makes us crazy. Please don't google anything. You will drive.yourself.nuts.

ITA! They say you just want to see 60% or greater. Your #'s are right around the 60% and I think It's a good sign your progesterone went up too.

im surprised u went to 2 different labs for a repeat beta!!! That makes a huge difference.
My inital beta for ds was done at quest (i just so happened to be at my ob/gyns office for an annual and they sent me for a beta) and my second was done at my re's office.
The doc at the RE's office didnt even want to look at quests beta results bc he said 2 different labs vary alot. actually told me to disregard the number from quest completly.
also when i went for my ultrascreen i went to one lab for the first part of my bloodwork and it was pretty inconvientant so i wanted to go to antother lab - the peri said if i wanted to go to another lab then i might as well not even do the 2nd part of the bloodwork - said i had to go to the same lab to get accurate results
Hold tight!! ur inital beta was awesome and right on target!

Shawnna SAME THING HAPPENED TO ME!!!!! They took my blood....sent it to one Lab A...took it again a few days later sent it to Lab B (b/c Lab A was closed for a holiday or something). Results of beta showed it did NOT double. I was devasted!! Went back for a repeat beta the next day and they made sure to send my bloodwork to Lab A again. Beta was right on target!! For whatever reason different labs measure differently. I still dont understand why they even bother sending it to different labs.
