Benjamin Moore paint is NOT going up to $42 a gallon.
Hi -
Someone posted the other day that BM paint was going up to $42 a gallon.
I actually stopped by a BM store on the way home from the doctor today and asked.
It's not going up. They have developed a new line of high-end paint that is coming out next month. Its starts at $42 a gallon. It sounded pretty cool - lots of different finishes, etc...Not all BM stores are going to carry it. They are starting in a few stores and then they will expand dependant upon its success. (yes - I had like a 10 minute conversation with the owner about it  ). I went to the store in Bayside. Bayside will not carry the high end line, but the BM store in Roslyn and Woodside will.
We can all relax now bc $42 a gallon would be a major bummer!

That's great news We picked BM colors too. Not sure of the pricing but I do know that Home Depot can make BM colors for about $6 per gallon LESS than the BM store

phew!! I was goign to run out and stock up on paint for our upstairs which we havent done yet... now i can continue procrastinating on painting the upstairs ...
