benefits of Starting a Small Business?
I'm doing some freelancing and I know I posted on this before, but what are some of the benefits of starting a small business? Do you find that you get good discounts on office supplies, or is the AMEX small business card really good? What are some of the advantages of starting a business as opposed to just freelancing w/o starting a business.

exactly what I was going to say. If you can prove a loss for the business (ie, re-invest into your business to not show a profit) you can reduce Capital Gains Tax.

Right. That's the obvious. But I'm not making a lot of money to begin with, so I don't know if it's worth it. I spoke to an accountant who in 5 minutes figured out ways for me to write off basically every cent of what I make because I make so little and I have a home office.
Are there any other perks though that I'm not thinking of but are also worthwhile?

I sell Mary Kay. I like that I can work my own hours and of course the TAX WRITE OFFS!

I never realized you could do write off doing mary kay!!

Yes We use our house as or office. Customers use or bathroom walk through our house to our office So we could write off cleaning ladies, the room, Some people even write off their shopping trips if they give some business cards away
I don't write this stuff of because Im still trying to grow my business and don't have enough sales to cover this stuff.
And YAY  about coming to visit me!
