Belly Fat Cure???
Has anyone heard of or tried this weight loss method? It doesn't seem safe to me because it doesn't address fats in the foods at all. Of course, they have all these testimonials from people who lose a ridiculous amount of weight very quickly. Anyone?

Re: Belly Fat Cure???
Haven't heard of it but according to Jillian Michaels you cannot spot reduce. Is it just supposed to remove belly fat? What is the premise of the diet?

Re: Belly Fat Cure???
Basically, you cannot eat more than 15g of sugar and 6 servings (5g to 20g each) of carbs per day. Doesn't mention fats at all. It aims for belly fat (hence the name) but will work overall as you lose weight. They give a sample breakfast: two Eggo waffles with butter two to three scrambled eggs with salt and pepper one Morningstar Farms sausage patty On their program, this is 2g of sugar and 2 carb servings.

Two Eggo waffles? That's a heck of a lot more carbs than two

Re: Belly Fat Cure???
Honestly, it sounds horrid and unsustainable. Some people are just predisposed to storing more fat in their bellies but there are things you can do to reduce the size of your belly without going to drastic measures.

It means that it's two carb servings (which would equal 10 to 40 g of carbs). So for the rest of the day, you'd have 13 more grams of sugar you could eat and four more servings of carbs.

OK - I gotcha.

Re: Belly Fat Cure???
There is no such thing as spot reducing. Any fad or diets that promise quick results are not to be trusted. Eat a well balanced diet with lots of fruits, veggies and whole grains. Cardio and weight training are very important as well.

Re: Belly Fat Cure???
You people are going to think I'm on a tear - but if belly fat is an issue, and only belly fat - that is a sign of adrenal burnout. I would not follow ths book - it will make things worse....
I know I keep talking about this, but after struggling through it and almost going through it again, I really want people to be aware. Sometimes people see belly fat and crave sugar and carbs ad think they need to diet and have no will power when these are all signs of adrenal burnout - which is more common that people even know!!!!

Are there are signs to look for for adrenal burnout? What do you do to fix it?

Believe it or not, you have to stop working out for a while, and eat! Eat normally - mostly protein though. I eat small meals throughout the day... it's a slow careful process!

So how do you know if you have adrenal burnout in the first place?
