Re: bed time

Only if she wasn't tired. I've never had a problem putting her down between 7 - 8pm.

She usually takes a late nap, I just make sure she's up by 6:00 - 6:30.

Re: bed time

No, she'll go down. i've read over and over again that it's easy to put babies down earlier, but hard to get them to sleep later.

Re: bed time

When ds was 8 weeks old I started to put him at 7 because I noticed he would take a nap then and I use to wake up him at 9:30 to feed him and put him to bed. Once I put him to be at 7 he actually slept through the night and he moved his bedtime up to 6 on his own, I just followed his cues. He went to bed b/t 6 & 6:30 until he was about 9/ 10 months old. Now he is back to 7

Re: bed time

DS goes down between 7-830 he usually takes a late nap, and sleeps until 3-4am. But lately he is waking up around midnight for a bottle and then between 5-6am. The only good thing is I wake up feed him and then we both go back to sleep until 8-9 am when we get up to watch regis and kelly

Re: bed time

I believe (and this is probably just a ruse I use to make myself feel better) that if you have a bedtime routine, the kid just thinks its time to go to sleep and goes into sleepytime mode.

I put my kid down at around the same time everynight, but if we have had a bad day and he is completely whacked out, I will put him to bed earlier. So long as we follow the routine, its all gravy!
