Sofia suffers from Alzheimers, I remember when they did the Golden Girls reunion a while back, she wasn't there and they said why. I think Betty White looks awesome.

That's what I know as well!
She doesn't make any public appearances for that reason.

I love my Golden Girls. They got away with so much
I loved how Estelle Getty was the youngest. She was always my favorite. I actually had a college paper that I had to do on my family and I started with "Picture it, Sicily, 1904"
She is in a nursing home and does not make public appearances.

Bea Arthur (born May 13, 1923) and Betty White (born January 17, 1922) are both older than Estelle, Rue McClanahan (born February 21, 1935) is younger. Estelle's birthday is July 25, 1923
Estelle is suffering with a form of dementia called LewyBodies. It is a slowly progressive disease, which has no cure. Its characteristics resemble those of both Parkinson's Disease and Alzheimer's. Estelle started showing signs of this dementia many years ago.
