Bank or Credit Union
DH and I are *finally* getting around to combining our accounts.
I use Bank of America and he has Teachers Federal Credit Union.
We are having trouble deciding where to pool our money.
Which do you use? A bank? A credit union?
What do you see as the positives and negatives of each?

What is the benefit of using a CU?
anything that is not available to the general public is going to have some level of better service. whether it be better interest rates on savings, lower rates on loans, etc.

We've used Nassau Educators Federal Credit Union for 30 years and, also, have an account and a loan with Navy Federal Credit Union. Would never use a bank.

I would say credit union but.. when DH and I went to them for a home loan their rate was higher than what we received at BOA 
I did not get that...

I LOVE & miss my CU. I actually still keep money in it. It was an account made for me before I was even born . I hang onto it for several reasons - mostly deals, service, rates & memories.
Since I really can't easily access it DH & I put our $ together in a bank. It just works easier...but if the loc was close by for our CU - hands down - CU.

Ditto, but a large lump of our savings is in an ING Direct account because it has a high interest rate.

Credit Union. By far, they have beat any bank we would have considered. Our credit union (Bethpage Federal) has consistantly lower rates than any bank.

We have both. Our TFCU account helped us get a great rate on our car loan.
