Back from Egg Retrieval
And they got 15 eggs. Originally they told me 14 and then they said 15. I'm not sure if they got more and only 15 were viable (I had over 28 my last sono) so I'm thinking optomistically that the 15 were viable. I mentioned to the dr they saw 28 on my last sono and he said they went after everything so I'm assuming that means 15 were viable. I was a little out of it when we spoke. I believe they are supposed to call to let me know how many fertilized today.

They just called...14 out of 15 fertilized:) I am so excited:)))) My transfer is scheduled for Tuesday. I did sign the override for a 5 day transfer though so I guess if the embryologist think the eggs look good by day 3 they will let us know if we should do 5 day transfer.
I can't believe I am up to this point...it's all happening so fast.

That is GREAT, how big were some of the eggs?? Sometimes they can burst before they go in for the retrievel.

Thanks ladies. At my last sono some of the eggs were pretty large measuring over 18mm I believe.
Does anyone have insights on a 3 vs. 5 day transfer. I've heard that a 5 day increases the chance of implantation.

Dr. Ying did my retrieval. I'll let you know if I go on Thursday so we can look for each other:)

That is what my RE said, with a 5 day transfer, you have a better chance of implantation, but there are a lot osf success with a 3 day.
They called me the morning of my transfer (day 3) and told me they are doing a 5 day because the eggs were fertilizing so nicely.
