Baby Shower weekend followed by trip to hospital today....
I had my baby shower this weekend at Filomena's in Franklin Square. We received EVERYTHING off our registry. Our families and friends spoiled us and our DS so much. There is nothing that we didn't get that won't be used.
I had my growth sonogram on Monday. I'm almost 34 weeks. They were also checking to see if my low lying placenta had lifted since my last sonogram in June & it did 
Baby is growing perfectly - he's 4lbs 11 oz. The Dr. said he has a beautiful heart & said that he could look at this heart all day...he kept freezing the frame and pointing out the chambers and noting how nicely it was beating
 
Had a beautiful weekend...than this morning came.
I was just about to leave the apartment for work when I decided to make one more bathroom trip before my 45 min+ commute to the city.
I was going to flush when I noticed blood in the toilet and on the toilet paper. I quickly pulled down my underwear and saw blood on them. I grabbed more tp and began to wipe and it was like I had my full on period.
I started sobbing uncontrollably and called my OBGYN. He told me to head straight to Labor and Delivery for monitoring. My husband made it home from the upper west side in literally 20 mins.
I was admitted into the triage center where they monitored me and the baby. Baby was perfectly fine - he was a wild child the entire time we were hooked up - the nurses & Dr's words 
They didn't see anywhere on the cervix or placenta that would indicate where the blood was from. So they kept me monitored for a couple more hours. I was having contractions the entire time but nothing that was consistent or to be concerned about.
They checked my cervix and I'm .5cm dilated.
They let me go home after 7 hours of monitoring. I was told to take it easy and to start considering about when I want to stop working.
So not only does DH need to start putting together the crib, the stroller and all the other items we need in the beginning, I need to make a decision about when to stop working. I planned on working until the end but clearly that is not an option...

So happy to hear that you had fun at your shower and that you received so many useful wonderful gifts from those who love you!!!
So so so sorry to hear about your hospital scare -- It sounds like they were wonderful to you at the hospital and your doctor is really looking out for you! Sending prayers your way!

So glad everything is okay! and glad that you had a nice time at your shower! We were also so overwhelmed by the generosity - we do not have to spend a penny on this baby for at least three months, its insane!

wow - im glad you are ok. that sounds like such a scary experience. dont stress the stopping work thing too much ~ nothing is worth another scare like that. hopefully your job will work something out with you. good luck!

Wow! I am glad everything is ok. Please take it easy and stop working as soon as you can. I know it stinks, but it will help sooooo much!

As for you L&D trip.. remember just take it easy and don't stress yourself out. This is the best time to take time out for you.
