baby shower invitations.....opinions pls- udated
***update: so, the ebay seller got back to me- she has this in brown & green too......yay!!!!!!!!!!!
if you received this invite, would you think the mom to be was expecting a boy? or is the blue minimal enough that it doesn't scream boy? Or do you generally ignore what the invite looks like and see if the registry reflects boy or girl selections?
my sister wanted me to e-mail her ideas of invites I liked, I used one very similar to this last year for my best friend- she was having a boy....but I don't plan on finding out the sex.
just wanted some opinions, thanks!
ETA- what if it had the wording:
A baby is coming
As cute as can be
Is it a boy or a girl?
We'll have to wait and see
maybe that's too wordy though when you add all the other info in.
If the dress had a pink ribbon or if something was pink on the invite, would that somehow even it out and then people wouldn't assume one or the other? Or I would completely confuse everyone w/ that? lol

I think it leans a little towards "boy" ..could you do a purple or green color instead of the blue?

I wouldn't assume boy unless it was marked on the registry. However, I could easily see people thinking boy if they didn't know registries mark those things.

Hi Helen, its SO CUTE!!! But it's the blue ribbon around the belly that's screaming "BOY" to me I think?? Maybe I'm just looking at too many maternity pics The stork one is cute too, and definitely unisex as is!!! If you can get a sample green and brown one to post that would be good to see too!!!

I know I am a bit late on this, but the invite for my shower was pink and brown. I am on team 
My sis thought people may assume girl, but she did not care. She saw the invite and it reminded her of me. I though it was perfect.
Everyone knows we are not finding out and we got gender neutual stuff based on our registry.

Green and brown would be perfect! I like the stork one too but lately I'm into the prego belly invites so I vote for the first one in green!

I think the invite is so cute!!
Honestly, though, people will think boy. Even if you put the little saying (which is also very cute!), some people just don't read invites properly and I guarantee that you'll still get some people arriving with boy-themed gifts. JMHO.
I would do green the brown and green!
ETA: I definitely like the first one better!
