baby shower games - Yay or Nay?
Just curious on what everyone's opinions were.
I'm personally torn. Sometimes I think they are a bit cheesy and forced, but othertimes I think it's a great way to entertain the guests since showers in general can be a bit boring if not everyone knows each other.

we had fun with the ones at my shower.... it depends on the game IMO....
some are cheesy... others are funnnnnnnn

I like the shower games. I have been to showers where there were not games at all, and frankly I got a little bored of just sitting around for 3-4 hours.

I think that they are great time passers and some are fun. I asked my mom to limit how many games we play to 2-3 (if one is a very short game) as any more would be annoying. I do like the baby gift bingo

I hate playing shower games but sometimes as a guest it helps ease the boredom! I don't know if my sister and mother are planning games for my shower... but I hope they stay away from BINGO. I hate that one the most!

At my bridal shower i didn't mind them..they passed some time and prizes were given..
But at a baby shower it depends.
For example, that game where if people say "baby" you have to steal a necklace etc..I HATE that game. I think its dumb. JMHO. And there was one I heard of where the microwave diff candy bars in diapers and you have to guess what it is. Gross.
If there were games at a baby shower I think word searches are ok...things that don't involve much.

Some of them are fun...It does make it better for the guests in my opinion. Just try to stay away from the cheesy ones.

I actually really like playing bingo at showers because it makes may pay attention to what is being opened. At showers where bingo is not played I lose interest. I am am actually not really a game person. I think showers can be pretty boring and games entertain the guests.
