Baby clothing that doesn't fit anymore....

What do you do with it?

Logically the answer would be to save it for any future children, but at this point, we are 90% sure we are done having children.... I would love to save it just in case that 10% wins over, but we just don't have the space. We are saving all the baby equipment like the car seat and swings, etc., but I need to get rid of the clothes to make room in their closets.

I have tons of baby girl clothes in size 0-3 months (summer). And two HUGE bag of boys winter clothes - one in size 12-18 months and one in size 2T. And more I still have to sort through.

I thought of ebaying, but there is too much and too much to ship. Do people sell lots of clothes through Craig's List? How much for a ton of clothes? Do I sort it (pants, shirts, outerwear, etc.)?

HELP me. The past few rainy days I've been cleaning out closets and getting clothes bagged and I don't know what to do with them. I would give them to someone, but don't know anyone in that size for now (hint, hint).... Should I Goodwill them?

you could even look into stores like Once Upon a Baby - in North Massapequa - you could either donate or sell the clothes to them - they sell used stuff. Maybe there's one closer to you? I've never been to this store but have heard a lot about it.

Maybe find a Freecycle group in your area- I bet you could get rid of all the girl things together and all the boy things together.

I think the site is Freecycle.org and there are also Freecycle groups on Yahoo.

ETA: Here is the Nassau group

I just donate Roman's clothes. I drop them off at Goodwill.

Thanks ladies, two great ideas. We all know how good the kids clothes are because they have so much and its hardly worn! I hate to see it go and would prefer to see someone get some use out of it.

I think they should start a swap board on here.

We pass ours around to different family members in big plastic bins.

Would love that. I have no one in my family to pass too (they're all older girls and boys). If anyone on LIF Parenting would be interested in the clothes, just FM me.

I agree. You can also make money of some Koala Baby outfits from BRU if it's something really nice.

I was the last in my group of friends to have a child. All of them are "done" and have given me all their goodies. You may want to save them for an expecting friend or relative.
