aww...my baby is breaking out all over his face

is there anything i can do besides clean it w/water?

DD had this too. It was from my breastmilk. I just bathed her and it went away on its own.

I used to use Aquaphor on DS face a few times a day and it worked wonders!

Someone on here suggested J & J baby shampoo, I did it for 2 days and the red ones went away. Now I cant see them really, his skin is still rough but the doctor said its normal. I just use water every day.

Here is my..possibly controversial advice....dont wash his face!!! With soap that is. I have found that until they are about 6-8 weeks old its the baby soap that causes them to breakout. I dont think its the soap itself but more the after effects of the skins being depleted of its oils or something.

I discovered this with my twins that after each really soapy bath that they would wind up with a case of infant acne. I stopped using soap on their faces and it stopped. The only time DS has had any was after DH gave him a bath and didnt realize that I didnt use the soap on his face.

I have given this advice to friends in the past..they have all discovered pretty much the same thing..unless, of course, it was a food allergy issue instead.

DD face and neck is covered with little pimples. I just use water everyday. Her Ped told me that it will go away on its own. Also, to make sure I rinse her clothes twice when I do her laundry.

It goes away after a few weeks, but, I used J&J shampoo and water and it really helped clear it up!
