August MOmmies!! How ya doin??

I"m due 8/12.. I'm hanging in there in spite of some minor issues here and there..

i have pelvic girdle pain.. or symphis pubis disorder.. what that basically means is my pelvis hurts.. ALL THE TIME.. i can't move my legs indepenently of each other, and when i roll over i feel immense pain in my pelvis.. my doctor gave me a note and i stopped working..

i had.. (thank god) low amniotic fluid. but after not working and sitting around all day drinking water my fluid levels have increased back to normal..

the baby was breech but doc said it was too early to be a problem.. baby turned on her own!!!

and last week thursday i spent the night in the L&D ER from intense vomiting (TMI sorry) and nausea.. They hooked me up to an IV, gave me some fluids because my amniotic fluid had dropped again (like i needed that.. grrr) and some zofran to help the nausea.. then checked all the signs, to make sure there were no contractions or problems..

everything was fine, and after a 7 hour stay i went home..

how is everyone else doing??? I've got 7 weeks to go..

Re: August MOmmies!! How ya doin??

I'm due 8/28. I cannot find a position other than upright that is comfy for me which makes sleeping very hard. I feel as if the baby is right under my boobs sideways and kicking me in the ribs. My ankles are like clydesdale's ankles minus the hair.

She is also breech. Too early to know if she will turn around on her own but DH and I have decided that if by a certain week she has NOT turned, we may schedule a c-section. Its kind of up in the air and frankly if she doesn't so it on her own, I do NOT want the OB doing it manually. I am not scared. I don't want opinions. We are happy with our choices and our plans.

I must teach summer school for financial reasons and I am miserable about it. The a/c in my classroom was due to be fixed, but there was a bit of a snafu. I'm NOT happy. If I am not relocated, I won't work.

This weekend, DH and I devoted ourselves to serious preparation and clean-up. The goal is to have the nursery empty by the end of June so we can paint (if landlord allows us). It is 90% done so I'm pleased. We need to put a lot in storage. I simply had to close my eyes and just throw things away.

We have the glider. The ottoman is at my ILs house. The layette was done last week at Denny's.

The bedding was due to be shipped at the end of last week.It took a while because apparently, it was custom made - news to me. The furniture should arrive within a week or two but will be stored where we bought it until Ed-lie comes home. We do have some clothes and toys here, but none of it is in her room.

Still lots to be done.

we ordered the crib today.. and dh is painting the furniture.. we decided instead of buying furniture we'd shift some around... baby gets my daughters, daughter gets ours... we get something new..

so he's giving it a fresh coat of paint.. we have no clothing, no layette, no car seats, no strollers, no bouncy thingys, no diapers.. nothing.. lol.. we really need to get on the ball..

After a long day at work, my ankles are huge. I toss and turn all night b.c I cant get comfortable and that boppy pillow does nothing for me.

People constantly ask me if Im sure there is only one in my belly, and if Im really due in August and not sooner. Its lovely for the self esteem, but also has been a tremendous motivator.

the nursery is ready. clothes are washed. I started putting some things aside for the hospital bag. I still have a long to do list.

No they massage it on the outside rather aggressively. There is a slight risk of the cord getting wrapped around the neck. It also does not look terribly comfortable and at that stage of the game, I 'd rather not tempt fate.

Re: August MOmmies!! How ya doin??

Due Aug. 20..

I just had my baby shower this weekend & it was FANTASTIC. Everything went soooooo well & I got just about every possible thing I need for the baby- and MORE!!!!!!!!!!

The furnature is scheduled to be delivered on Thursday. The nursery is painted- border is up & everything that we had in that room has been moved to our garage.

I still have to wash all the baby's clothes & linens, pack my hospital bag & decorate the nursey. Honestly- Everything has been going as scheduled & I couldn't be happier.

In terms of how I feel- I never thought I'd feel this great this far into my pregnancy. I'm almost 32 weeks & have some minor complaints. I'm getting bigger by the day & the weight gain is starting to take a mjor role in my stamina. I'm starting to swell up & my rings no longer fit. Other that the aches & pains- everything is going really well & hope & pray Chat Icon that the rest of my pregnancy will treat me as good as it has.
