At what week are most babies born?
Just curious what is most common -- the full 40 weeks, or sooner, or later?

good question, I'd like to know too!
It seems like from the boards, more are late....I'm hoping for an early baby! More time at home w/them before the fall semester starts!

i know the doctors office said first time mothers tend to run later

From what I hear 1st time moms may run later. The results may be a little skewed now though with the growing rate of planned c-sections.

I too want a safely early baby.... I have a wedding that I am in only 12 days after my due date.... needless to say I am freaking out!

I know that only 5% of babies are born on their due date and the vast majority are born within 2 weeks on either side of their due date (so within 38-42 weeks)

I believe the average for a first time mother is 41w1d.
