What do they due i have mine Oct2 i will be 8 weeks.

first off congrats . the first appt, they will give you an estimated due date, and they may or may not take some blood and give you an internal sonogram. depending on how early in the pregnancy you are the blood and sonogram mite come on the second visit. then the doctor will ask if you have any questions or concerns. you can then ask what you should be eating and staying away from, etc. its so exciting. congrats again.

Also--If you come in too early, they may not be able to hear the heart beat. My dr's offc said that the hpts are so accurate that they don't have you come in to confirm.

I just had my first appt Monday. The dr also gave me a huge packet with info and talked me about my diet, what not to eat, exercise, medications, etc... I was also given a pap smear and I have to go to the lab for blood work to run some standard tests.
