Are tick collars effective?
Just found 2more ticks...I hate these f..in ticks!

Are you using Front Line?
I am very concerned when I bring my dog to shelter island. Ticks are bad there, but I do the monthly front line treatment. Are you using it, and he's still getting ticks???

Are you using Front Line?
I am very concerned when I bring my dog to shelter island. Ticks are bad there, but I do the monthly front line treatment. Are you using it, and he's still getting ticks???
I used Frontline and my dog was getting ticks constantly. Never tried a tick collar. Now I use K9 Advantix and it's SO much better.

I asked my vet about the collar because I was worried my dog could still get ticks with the Frontline and she said I can't use them both. Something about them reacting to eachother.
I know I didn't answer your question but I had no idea you shouldn't put them together.

Is that applied like front line? I am so worried about ticks when we go to shelter island!!!

We just tried Advantix for the first time this month. It had to be applied in 3 spots instead of 1 for Frontline, I think (DH did it.)
If you have time to switch before Shelter Isl, I would do it - esp will be harder to find tics on Maple's dark coat.
