Are there places (like daycare) that you can bring your child for a week or two?
I'm trying to figure out all my options for watching DS with my surgeries coming up. I was warned my big surgery could take me a while to recover. Since I may need someone after school starts, I can't rely on those of you gracious enough to FM me with options. Are there temporary daycares?

there are some places that offer back up childcare. I would call a few daycares and ask about that and tell them your situation. Good luck!
