Are there any special songs/bands/artists that bring you back to childhood?
Today I popped in a CD that had some "Moody Blues" on it-
As I danced around on the furniture with my son, I was overcome with deja vu.
I could totally see me and one of my brothers dancing around the house with my mom- it totally took me back in time...
Genesis and Journey do that for me sometimes too-
What are yours???

I remember dancing around our apartment as kids with my Dad with the music really loud
 ETA that I am LMAO right now because I also thought of when my sister & I would take(OK we would sneak it!!) my parents "Up in Smoke" from Cheech & Chong album (YES....an actual album!!!!) and we would put it on REALLY low & sit up against the speakers & listen to it!!!
If I am remembering correctly, we eventually got busted!!!!!!

We always played records after dinner and danced around when I was little, so most early 80s pop music will remind me of that.
Also, and this is random, but songs I sang when I was in elementary school chorus will come on and all of a sudden I am on bleachers again!

AND, today on sirius I heard THEY MIGHT BE GIANTS for the first time in years! That was THE best group - LOVED Flood!!! The next song on was Personal Jesus by DM - I was THRILLED! Both of those songs really bring me back to middle school/early HS.

ITA! I saw TMBG at Roseland Ballroom years ago. That was one of the best shows.

Lionel Richie---Dancin on the Ceiling---I clearly remember when my cousins were out from Florida and we would dance around in my parents living room, and then my mom put the speakers in the windows so we could hear it outside and we danced out in the POURING RAIN!

The whole of the Barbra Streisand/Barry Gibb album brings me right back, show tunes, Donna Summer...
A heck of a lot of music can bring me right back to my childhood. Its wonderful! I hope I can instill that in my son too!!!
