OH NO!!!! I would go and purchase an electric heater or if you have a fireplace use it but becareful with either one of them.. Good luck and I hope you get it fixed fast.

I'm so sorry! We had that day right before Christmas. Our heater crashed and our refrigerator blew out.
It was soooo stressful!
Stay warm and I hope things get better!!

ok false alarm.. the furnance is back on now.. I swear it wasn't on for hours and the house is fridget!!
We need to get a maintenance contract.. who does everybody use? (we have gas heat).

Get Slomins and pay extra for their insurance policy. It will cover everything related to the heat... including a full replacement boiler if needed. It also covers your oil tank... radiators... baseboard heating... etc etc.
It will cost extra... but its good to have at least for the first year because you really dont know what "shape" your boiler is in.
