19th Annual Seafood Festival & Craft Fair

The Long Island Maritime Museum is pleased to announce the 18th Annual Long Island Maritime Museum Seafood, Craft and Music Festival. This annual two-day Long Island tradition will be taking place on the Long Island Maritime Museum grounds.
This festival is the largest single fundraising event for the Long Island Maritime Museum in West Sayville, Long Island, NY. The Museum is dedicated to the preservation of Long Island's rich maritime history and heritage for educational purposes. This year, the Festival features its indoor and outdoor museum exhibits, as well as over 150 vendors of fine nautical arts and crafts and educational groups, and - of course - huge pavilions purveying some of the finest and freshest seafood available. Last year, the festival hosted over 18,000+ people! Music has become a huge highlight of this weekend event, featuring the best national and regional acts.
Gates will open at 10:00 am and close at 5:00 pm. The food vendors will remain open until 6:00 pm and great entertainment until 7:00 pm.
Arts, crafts, great entertainment and of course... Seafood!

We'll be at Seafood Fest on Saturday night and probably part of Sunday too.
For anyone who has been before, there are some small changes in traffic pattern. West Avenue is going to be southbound traffic only and Atlantic will be north and south. Also they are only allowing parking on the East sides of West Avenue and Atlantic - no west side parking. It really makes no sense to me since on West the west side has no houses! Plus I think West is wider than Atlantic and better suited to 2 way traffic. But not my rules!

If anyone lives north or wants a real day trip, the Dutchess County Fair is going on till the 29th. We are going today.

Scottish dance and music performances, competitive Highland Games (caber toss, putting the stone and tossing of the sheaf), cultural and historical displays, clan genealogy information, individual and pipe band competitions, children's activities, dog agility and other animal demonstrations, Scottish wares, crafts, foods.

If anyone lives north or wants a real day trip, the Dutchess County Fair is going on till the 29th. We are going today.
My cousins lived in dutchess county growing up and I LOVED going to this fair!

there is also a carnival/fair in the parking lot of the sunrise mall in massapequa all weekend 8/26-8/29!

For all Babylon people:
Its the End of the Summer Beach Blast tomorrow at Overlook Beach!
I'm singing with a cover band that I used to be in. We go on at 3pm, the name is Crush!
Also, my mom and I will have a fundraising table set up for Autism Speaks. I'm running with their team at the NYC Marathon this November. We'll be selling Autism Awareness pins and bracelets.
