Anyone watch Breaking Amish.
I watched about 25 minutes of it before I fell asleep. I think this is gonna be my new favorite reality show.

Yes! loved it. I also felt bad for these kids. I felt bad that the bishops daughter was talking about how she doesn't even remember what she looked like as a child because they can't even take pictures because it is considered vanity.

I just watched it (had it dvr'd), I really wanted to like it but it seems sooo fake and scripted. This is basically the Real World with "amish" people

I agree...seemed very scripted. I liked it, though.
sad that you can't make choices that differ from those around you or you'll go straight to hell. yikes!

Anyone watch Breaking Amish.
I watched it and I liked it but I wonder if it's fake. Granted I don't know much about Amish people but there's one guy cursing, a girl who wants to be a model, etc. How do they know about these things if all they really know is their own culture?

I finally wacthed the whole show last night and while I am still hooked. I was wondering the same way. Did anyone notice that none of the parents wanted to be camera but one mother. Also the bishops daughter, she said she had friends in florida. But how???? Thry dont have internet or phones.
We have a local farmers market really close to my house in NJ and its runa by the amish and many of them come up from lancaster and I said to my DH i should ask them to see if its real or scripted. OR if they know any of them.
