anyone using a doula or can rec one for NSUH Manhasset?
as the big day approaches, dh and i really want to cover all our bases in trying for a natural birth. since NSUH manhasset i heard doesn't allow midwives, we have a cool ob. but just in case, we'd like to also bring a doula on board to relieve dh of some coaching stress. does anyone have a good experience with one who's delivered at NSUH Manhasset?  TIA for sharing!

Go to the DONA website. If you have a "cool" ob, ask if they've worked with anyone they could recommend. Doula's aren't limited to a specific hospital like doctors are.

Check out the Long Island Doula Association, they have a list of all the doulas in the area

Yes, I had an amazing doula and I'm using her again in May. Her name is Roberta Post. Number is 516 481 2845. She was recommended by my OB first time around. She works in NSUH also and was incredibly helpful during my labour. She books up really quickly though so call her asap. Good luck!
