Anyone taking their newborns/babies trick or treating?

DD will be 2-1/2 months and I have a costume for her. Although she won't be able to eat the candy and I don't expect any, I just thought it would be cute to take her around with her cousins (if it's not cold).

Anyone else doing this?

We took Julia trick or treating at 3 months, but just to the grandparents houses and we walked around with my sister and her kids and watched them get there candy, I would feel silly walking up to a strangers house holding my baby asking for candy--LOL

Same here.

We are going to DH's office that day and the grandparent's house. We also have a few Halloween parties to attend.

Same here. What I did last halloween is put her in her costume so when the tricker treaters came to us, she was in costume. Also one of our neighbors had a halloween party and so did her daycare, so she got good use out of her halloween costume. Chat Icon

DD will be 3 months and we are walking around with her cousins. They do NOT want to trick-or-treat without her Chat Icon

Assuming it's nice out we'll at least put on her costume and walk around the neighborhood before it gets dark.

I'm assuming daycare will have something and then there is a fair on Halloween weekend where all the kids get dressed up and walk in the Trick or Treat parade. I may goChat Icon

DH is bringing him to my office and they have a little party there, then DH has to go to work, so I am bring him to my parents in the city. My dad is a psycho for Halloween and he can take him around their apartment building.

Re: Anyone taking their newborns/babies trick or treating?

Glad you asked this, I asked the same thing last week with little response! My son is 10 months and I cannot wait to take him around the immediate neighborhood in his costume. I recall answering the door for many babies and their parents in the past and I never had a problem with it.

Re: Anyone taking their newborns/babies trick or treating?

We are going with my neighbor who has a 1 month old. DD will be 4 &1/2 months. We will also be going with the neighbor's nieces, who are 4 and 6 and LOVE trick-or-treating! We'll only go in the neighborhood since all my neighbors want to see the babies. They gave her gifts when she was born and all that.

I don't want any candy tho!!!!!!

I'm so glad to hear that there are others doing it..I think it's GREAT! While I will admit I am not doing it to get candy, she does have a basket that says "Princess" and if anyone wants to give candy I won't say no.. Chat Icon

I'm just hoping/praying that her costume fits!!
