anyone take their kid's medicine when they're sick with the same thing?

I'm pretty sure I have pink eye. DD had it last week and I took tsome of her left over medicine. ( I know, I know you're never supposed to take other people's presciription meds) She got one drop twice a day...do u think since i'm an adult i can take it 3x/day? i took them this morning, around 6 pm and i want to take them before bed now.

honeslty this is a big big no no espcially with the eyes.. most likely its an ointment (if im not mistaken) and if it by any chance touched you dd eye it could have the infection on the tip of the aplicator and now your applying it to your eye! and you might not even have pink eye, and now you've just contracted it because your eye touched the applicator your dd used.

my suggestion stop using it and see a doctor!

well thats def. better but i wouldnt treat it yourself unless the doc tells you too.. im a bit of a crazy person when it comes to sharing meds. i yell at my own parents who do this all the time.

I haven't ever done it, but as someone who has had eye issues in the past, I wouldn't mess around with my eyes. I would see the doctor just because its such a sensitive area. Otherwise, my doctor will sometimes call in a prescription if my kids are sick with something and I get sick soon after with similar symptoms. I am totally a rule follower (its so geeky at times!) and would be too nervous to share medication with anyone!
