Anyone take Robitussin to help CM?
I have heard this before but read it in Deannas plan (Sweet Caroline bump---great info).
Does anyone do it? Can you give me some guidance on when you take it? Does it work?

I'm thinking about trying this this month, but I bought MUcinex tablets. I wonder if Robitussin is better?

I've heard Mucinex and/or Robitussin. I'd assume they work similarly and actually maybe Mucinex better as it was a Prescription only drug for a while. I wonder if tablets vs. liquid matters!

Re: Anyone take Robitussin to help CM?
I am taking Robitussin in liquid form. It's supposed to thin out the CM to make it more "sperm friendly". I did research on it, and the kind you are supposed to have should show Guaifenesin as the only active ingredient in it, which is an expectorant. I also read not to buy the kind with Dextromethorphan in it, because it is dangerous to use when TTC.
I am taking it 2-3x/day. I started taking it 5 days before I O'd, and I will continue to take it on my DPO.
I think the tablets you mentioned are fine, too.
Hope this helps... We'll see if it works!

Thank You!!!!
I just found some generic stuff I had in my cabinet and it has 100 mg of Guaifenesin (expectorant) BUT it also has 10mg of Dextromethorphan Hydrobromide (which they state is a cough suppresant).

The one I'm taking has 100 mg of Guaifenesin; it's the only listed active ingredient.
Good luck!
