Anyone suffer from dizziness?

Saturday night I got really dizzy and nauseous. Sunday I was a little dizzy and this morning I still feel unsettled. Any thoughts? Chat Icon

You may just have a virus.

Or, um, you may have a Chat Icon Chat Icon ... those can be signs of pregnancy (while still being signs of a virus). Are you 'late'?

Re: Anyone suffer from dizziness?

Could definitely be a virus - OR if you're congested, your ears could be throwing you off as well. Try taking a decongestant, like Sudafed. Chat Icon feel better Chat Icon

Re: Anyone suffer from dizziness?

That happened to me yesterday. I was taking a shower and all of a sudden I got light headed. I then felt like I was going to be sick. It better not be Chat Icon Chat Icon . I'm just thinking that maybe it was because I didn't eat yet and that's why I felt that way...

It probably is just a virus, esp since you're a little nauseous too. I was sick all weekend, although more with the congestion stuff. Thre are a few things going around - just try to drink a lot of fluids and get as much rest as possible.

(by the way, I was just putting it out there - dizziness, my doctor told me, is a big sign of pregnancy, that's why I mentioned it)

Re: Anyone suffer from dizziness?

I know how you are feeling, Christine Chat Icon sorry to hear you are under the weather

For nearly 4 weeks now I have been suffering from dizziness/vertigo.. I dont have any other symptoms really, just some general body aches and feeling kind of weak and nauseous.. but no congestion, no fever, etc. Just generally feeling like crap. I still haven't gotten to the bottom of it (I've been to an ENT .. not my ears. And my regular physician is not entirely sure , but do think it might be viral as well and taht I just have to "wait it out" Chat Icon)

Hoping that you FEEL BETTER SOON Chat Icon Chat Icon

WOW Felicia, I'm sorry you're feeling this way. It's awful to feel dizzy. I'm not sure if it's vertigo. I'm thinking it's not because everytime I look it up online it sounds more serious then what I'm feeling. Feel better Chat Icon

Yes, I suffer from this occasionally. I think it is from taking the pill.

If the Chinese had MSG in it, you could definitely be having a reaction.. I know a lot of people have very odd reactions to that.. dizziness, feeling "hot" and nauseous, etc.. that just might be it!

Re: Anyone suffer from dizziness?

I get dizzy a lot. I have low blood pressure (80/60) but have never taken medication for it. When I was in the hospital having foot surgery, the nurse said "You have really low blood pressure, you must get dizzy a lot when you get your period"...and now that I've noticed it it's usually the week I get it. I try to manage it by drinking more water.

Ear infections are probably the most common reason. Oh yes & Chat Icon Chat Icon also will cause that ...

If it continues, I would mention it to a doctor (I mean if I WERE YOU...I never take my own advice and after 3 years of occassional dizziness have yet to mention it to my dr).

etd: just to clarify since there are 2 types of dizziness...was it a spinning sensation or a fainting sensation?

Hope you feel better soonChat Icon

It was more of a spinning/motion as opposed to fainting. I ususally have high bp and I took it when I was feeling the most dizzy and it was high Chat Icon I can't figure it out.

Re: Anyone suffer from dizziness?

I have had this and went to the Dr. it was anxiety due to stress, made me dizzy, I couldn't even drive, I got vertigo meds and xanax for it, and they worked.

Inner ear infections cause this too - I;ve had those.

Christine, oddly enough I was told that with an inner ear infection you do not have ear pain necessarily.. but can still get the dizziness and other symptoms that lead a doctor to believe you might have an inner ear infection

I have NO ear pain at all, but they are sending me for some testing on Wed to see if my vertigo is caused by an ear thing

Hoping you are feeling better before long! Chat Icon

Re: Anyone suffer from dizziness?

A few times for different reasons. I have hypoglycemia although its borderline but I can get dizzy when my sugar is low.

I also have low blood pressure so that can cause Dizziness if I sit for too long or get up too fast.

And I recently had Vertigo, due to an inner ear thing ( dont ask, I dont know too much about it) It came out of the blue and was very scary , lasted about a month.

I hope you feel better soon!!
