Anyone really excited about the 1st Day of School?
I said this to DH (also a proud NYC teacher) and he looked at me like was NUTS!!
I have always loved the first day of school since I was a kid I love all new supplies, new clothes etc

I do! We have to wear our school shirts the first day, so I moved my first day outfit to day 2.

I'm nervous about how the parents of my "cliquey" school are going to react when they see the pre-k/kindergarten teacher (who happens to look young for her age) is teaching 5th grade. (this is just how the school is)
I'm excited to see how the kids react!

I am excited to be starting at a new school, especially because everyone seems to be so supportive and they give you so much supplies-wise.

No, not excited. Anxious. Copier isn't working, none of the literacy workbooks arrived, we have to adhere to a strict block now that just won't work with 1st and 2nd graders  and there is news we'll be hearing in a few weeks and that's all we know.
Oh, and I'm due for my period on the 1st day. Woohoo!!

I AM!! I'm starting a new position in my school (co-teaching) and I'm so excited to be with my co-teacher. She's great! I've also had all boys in my self-contained classes for the last 3 years, so this year I get to actually have girls in my class again!

This is my 13th first day of school (I was a leave replacement and started in January one year) and I'm excited. I'm not nervous at all. I'm trying some different things this year and am looking forward to the challenge. It's kind of nice to be confident and comfortable instead of nervous. Good luck to everyone!

But looking forward to working again... the paycheck after many, many months
I'm hoping the kids will be ready, but it's h.s. so....
Not looking forward to meeting yet, another administrator... 7th Asst. Prin. we've had in 11 years Should I even bother remembering the name at this point?

Not really for tomorrow, which is meetings. But def. excited for the first day with the kids on Wed. I am a little nervous though, since my assignment has changed from resource room 6/7/8 for the past 6 years to Integrated Co-Teaching in math and science grade 7.
